What is Non-HDL cholesterol?
all of your non-protective cholesterol
Non-HDL is total cholesterol minus HDL and captures all atherogenic cholesterol in a single number. It is often more reliable than LDL alone.
Because non-HDL includes VLDL, IDL, and remnant particles in addition to LDL, it is especially useful when triglycerides are raised and LDL may be misleading.
